Jobpac Connect is STP ready for the JobKeeper extension which automatically comes into play at the end of September.

If you have already enrolled for JobKeeper, you do not need to re-enrol for the JobKeeper extension. Employees do not need to complete another nomination notice.

You will need to check your actual decline in turnover for continuing eligibility from 1 October 2020 and again from 1 January 2021. Once confirmed, you will need to submit this information to the ATO online.

Companies for whom the Jobkeeper extension applies will need to determine which employees are to receive Tier 1 and Tier 2 payments. The payments will depend on the number of hours an eligible employee works

For more information on how to comply, and how your STP submissions will change, please refer to the ATO Website at the following link https://www.ato.gov.au/general/jobkeeper-payment/In-detail/JobKeeper-guide—employers-reporting-through-STP/

In Jobpac you may need to set up transaction codes for the new start and finish fortnights for the extension period. And four additional transaction codes must be setup for the two Tiers and two Tier corrections. Refer to ATO notes for exact definitions of text to avoid delays in STP processing.

Should you need any assistance with Jobpac STP processing under the JobKeeper extension arrangement please log a request for service in the customer support portal. We are here to help.

Kind regards
